Great Mood !

Today I am in a great mood ! Typically the next natural queary would be to ask , whats got me in such a great mood. I suppose it could be lots of things ..such as after months of dreary gray skies.. its refreshing to see the bright blue hue in the sky .. the sunshine is a most definite welcome change from the dingy gray a drug out winter had begun to show.

my great mood could simply be from the pleasure of good friends company! I find myself smiling more and more these days in the happy times I'm finding in the company of my friends. Ive been amazed at how strong a bond of friendship can be formed with individuals only met over the existance of online communication. I find myself deeply grateful for this treasure and how its enhanced my personal life.

Or perhaps its the observation of seeing others be kind and compassionate, watching good people help others , cant help but make you feel good too I say :) Or maybe its the excitement of coming events..

I am truly tickled purple to think that in just a very short time I will be taking my seat in the airplane that will carry me across the usa to finally meet my best friend Jaycatt! We've talked about this visit for quite some time and with the ticket purchased.. its FINALLY going to happen * Thanks Jaycatt* I am so excited to finally meet him in person! , as if meeting Jay were not enough to overload my WOW meter, as an added bonus its possible I will find the opportunity to meet several other sl friends I have known. Frogg, Maken, Littleturtle, and with a bit of a drive on his part ... bless his heart, my wonderful friend Patrick :) Maybe this is part and parcel of my great mood..

Perhaps its the excitement of knowing Im going to be attending my first convention in the SLCC. For the first time this Second Life convention is being held in a city reasonably close enough to warrant an invested interest in attending. The chance to meet so many of the wonderful people from Second Life, I have called friend .. its simply a dream.. to know the blessing to meet so many souls , I may never have known without Second Life. Im greatly looking forward to the live music that will be played during the convention.

Todays Poem :

Roses are red
Daisies are white
Its a truly great day
when ones feeling so right!

Heres hoping your day
is full and quite stunning
May you start the day smiling and hit the ground running.

E-mails

Hello!

*Dramatic Entrance Music*

Yes , yes, Its me. I know , shocking isnt it.. I'm actually making a new post without a months time lapsing. *waits for the ooh's and ahh's * ...

Today as I was sending out some emails to some pretty wonderful friends it dawned on me just how much joy this wonderful little technological feat brings to me . Now having said that Im in no way saying it beats the good old fashioned hand written letter. We should all endeavor to send more of those to friends and family whenever possible:) However I do confess that emails can bring quite the enhancement to the day.

It boggles the mind how I can sit in my office and type words on a screen , click a button and send them to a friend in a far away place and hopefully make them smile.
I am very well blessed to have a great group of kind souls who so sweetly tolerate my addiction and graciously allow me to invade their workdays daily.

So taking a moment to say thank you~

Travis, you so kindly endure every virtual window I send and in doing so give me the best view of good friendship :) Thank you

Sporked, ever the one to skip the #6 the you have taught me much about friendship and been the best ambassador of true Canadian hospitality ;) Thank you

John, kind spirit your kindness is only outshined by your compassion :) Thank you

Gryphon, dear friend! you are the essence of a true southern gentleman :) Thank you

Eric, postive person, always with a kind word to share bless your heart :) Thank you

Lyndon, sweet soul, patient and perservering. Youve taught me a lot :) Thank you

Semaj, If Duke had a team of great friendship players.. you'd be the MVP :)Thank you

Patrick, new to the send, your friendship makes the day shine with smiles:)Thank you

Special mention to Ursula :) Such a great lady!

Acknowledging these fine folks is in no way to lessen the wonderful bonds of friendship I share with so many of this online realm but for this blog entrys purpose I just wanted to simply say Thanks to them for the great kindness they
share with me daily, its much appreciated.

So how has email effected your life? Are you a daily communicator or a infrequent texter? Whats been the best or worst email you've ever read? Where do you see email
5 years from now?

Todays Poem:

E-mail Thrill

I awake quite easy,
and sit afore my PC
with excited curiousity
to see who may have sent to me

Then my mouth
it widely grins end to end
as "YES" I see it
email from friends!

I gaze across its content
the words they flow with ease
the tone is oh so friendly
and the meaning it does please

And so my day starts happy
as I write back right away
thrilled to have their email
and read what good friends had to say!

Thank you for reading

journal rambles

I have been neglectful once more in my postings of this blog. It's ironic in that blogs are views and comments on times of life and lately its life thats left no time to blog :)

Todays entry I'll forewarn is a ramble in every sense of the word.. I have been asked ( surprising to me ) to post more from the journal I kept on my journey to
Sydney last fall. So proceed at your own risk.. as I ramble about events I found
amusing in process of my trip.

" I am on the plane bound for Los Angeles, its roughly 7 30 p.m. chicago time thats ...( you can do the Math for EST ) the layover in Chicago I'm blessed to say didn't seem bad at all. A woman came and sat close by where I had claimed a seat, she was a friendly sort, chatting with anyone who'd reply. She had observed me taking pictures out the window and had wondered just what I was taking snapshots of. Apparently seasoned travlers no longer feel that "WOW" factor to click pics of the huge planes that to and fro in front of you during the wait. I explained I was getting shots of the plane. This oviously must have been a tell tale sign .. and I felt the big green NEWBIE arrow tunking my head for she and several others in hearing range all looked at me ratherly oddly.

As this woman and I got to chatting , because she was friendly and I like to ramble, I found out she'd come from North Carolina and was nearing the end of her six hour layover (yikes) she asked if I was staying in LA or moving on from there. My mind races... all the prowarnings of dont give out info to strangers pinging my thoughts but I answered and said "moving on " she said "ME TOO! ". I just smiled. what does one say to a stranger who has the same travel itenary? She asked "Are you going overseas?" .. again not wanting to be rude but not wanting to be too informative I come back with my linguistically impressive " Yeah". she said " ME TOO! ". Again.. I smiled. She asked "where?" .. I say "australia" she said " ME TOO!" this is getting to be rather amusing as her enthusiasm for our similiarites was growing to such levels she was literally bouncing in her seat with anticipation for the replys to her quearys. She said " what part" .. thinking this would be the last of the questions I would answer without giving way too much info I said a rather curt " Sydney" and about choked holding back the laughter when she quite vocally dejected said " Awww Im Melbourne" hahaha.

She wandered away to mingle with others .. apparently Id out lasted her interest in conversing with me .. I passed the time doing my word search puzzle book and I know Im new but I was totally fascinated with the plane traffic out the window. I think of all the souls on each one coming and going... people going to and fro for business or were they like me taking a scary but exciting adventure, or in the case of the staff, just another day at the office. With a little imagination I was quite entertained till the time rolled round for boarding :)

I now can say I've been on a cruise boat, a luxury train, and a airplane, and where they all have pro's and con's for traveling and space to move, I liked the train most. However I do admit I am really enjoying the views ive been getting on the flights. My seat this flight is 13 F . a number I wasn't wild about but its turned out okay as I am close enough to the window seat in front of me , I can still see out the sunset is SPECTACULAR!!

End journal ramble

Todays poem:

Todays poem has no themed relation to the days post.. but its one I dont think I've yet shared in this blog, its a bit sad, but hope you enjoy it just the same. TY

A Special Love

She sat in the chair with a smile on her face
the source of her joy noone could trace
She was lost in fond memories of a special love shared
with a man who enjoyed showing he cared

the walk in the park
the movie in the dark
she remembers the days their filled with such joy
she remembers the fair he won her a toy

she remembers the nights
their filled with such passion
she remembers the the parties
the fun they had crashin'

she remembered the night
he sweetly proposed
on the way home
she had asked him to go slow

he turned to give
a small kiss to his mate
and when he turned back
it was too late

he swerved to avoid
hitting the car
but he'd turned the wheel
a little too far

the tree came up fast
and hit oh so hard
where was the girl
she'd been thrown from the car

she looked up and saw
the rose that he'd gave her
still clutched in his fingers
his very last favor

She stood up and sighed
with tears in her eyes
and placed a rose
by her loves side

then she closed the top
of the coffin that day
to seal a special love shared
then taken away.
